Aratina Solar Project - photovoltaic panel arrays

OVERVIEW

Nate Jones was sub-contracted as a CDFW Designated Biologist for sensitive species surveys and biological resource monitoring on Aratina I, which is the first phase of the 2,300+ acre Aratina I&II photovoltaic solar and battery storage complex. The Aratina I&II solar complex will feature a photovoltaic solar array with a generation capacity of 350 MW and a battery energy storage system. Aratina will produce enough clean, reliable electricity to power over 180,000 homes, day or night.

Wilder now provides ongoing support as a sub-contracted subject matter expert for desert species on the Aratina Solar complex. Services provided to EnviroPlus Consulting include compliance reporting for county, state, and federal permits.

The historic Pioneertown Motel is planning an upgrade and expansion, to accommodate the growing number of visitors to the area.

Desert Breeze Solar Project

Wilder Ecological was sub-contracted to effect a USFWS clearance for desert tortoise, western burrowing owl, and desert kit fox on a 667-acre photovoltaic project, and completed a successful translocation of 11 desert tortoises during a compressed fall season time line.
