OVERVIEW

The SBC Solar Project is a 2Mw commercial photovoltaic solar installation located on approximately 10 acres of land north of the community of Trona, California.

Liana Harp was subcontracted by EnviroPlus Consulting to provide subject matter expertise in completing a Biological Evaluation Report in support of successful permitting of a small solar project near Trona, California.

  • Technical writing to complete a comprehensive Biological Assessment Report

    • Mojave desert tortoise

    • Western burrowing owl

    • Mohave ground squirrel

    • Desert kit fox

    • Migratory Bird Treaty Act nesting birds, including

      • Inyo towhee

      • Loggerhead shrike

      • LeConte’s thrasher

  • Rare and sensitive plants

  • Habitat characterization (soils, drainages, plant community, anthropogenic disturbances)

The report synthesized survey results from multiple sub-contractors into a CEQA-compliant assessment of the biological resources on site.
