Bellefield I&II Solar
OVERVIEWThe Bellefield I&II Solar Complex will be built in two two phases, each phase will include 500 MW of solar plus 500 MW of four-hour duration battery energy storage. It will include a 14-mile transmission line connecting the project to the Southern California Edison (SCE) Windhub Substation. It is located on over 7,500 acres of privately owned land.
Nate Jones was sub-contracted as a CDFW Designated Biologist for sensitive species surveys on Bellefield I, which is the first phase (3,100 acres) of the 7,500+ acre photovoltaic solar and battery storage complex.

Wilder is now provides ongoing support to EnviroPlus Consulting as a sub-contracted subject matter expert for desert species on the Bellefield I&II Solar complex. Services include writing and analyses for Kern County and CDFW monthly, quarterly, annual and sensitive species compliance reporting, as well as on-call USFWS health assessments and tissue sampling on desert tortoises translocated from the project.
