One Nevada ON Line Electrical Transmission Project
OVERVIEW:The One Nevada Transmission Line (ON Line) project, is a 235-mile, 500 kV AC transmission line capable of carrying 600 MW of power to the grid running north-south between Ely and greater Las Vegas, Nevada. It was built as a new right-of-way, and traversed some of the least populated portions of the Great Basin Desert.
Wilder Ecological biologists Nate Jones and Liana Harp were sub-contracted as USFWS Authorized Desert Tortoise Biologists to perform surveys and construction monitoring.
