OVERVIEWWilder was subcontracted to provide staffing and field leadership to maintain environmental compliance with all aspects of permits, mitigation measures, and agency guidance for installation of 88 miles of new fiber optic line during 3-year construction schedule.

Rare plant surveys, mitigation and transplantation of all succulents, western Joshua trees, and other Yucca spp. located in disturbance areas of project line
Noxious and Invasive weed surveys, mitigation implementation
On-site Field Techniques and Safety training as needed for new Biological Monitor hires coming from Chambers Group, Inc.
On-site Environmental Awareness Education of all project personnel

Services delivered included daily scheduling, staffing, training, and supervision of 10-20 biological resource monitors in coordination with activities of multiple construction subcontractors working concurrently, on three project segments, generally spanning ~70 linear miles during weekly activities.
Project Field Leadership in running all surveys and mitigation actions. Provision of data management, weekly and summary reporting, mapping, as well as guidance and consultation with foremen, project managers, third-party inspectors/monitors, and field staff of relevant government agencies (USFWS, Mojave National Preserve USDOI, CDFW, San Bernardino County).
